Within the industry trade organization, Material Handling Institute (MHI) Romaine was the Chairman for Carousel & VLM Section, Vice Chair of the Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (AS/RS) Group, the Supply Chain Execution (SCE) group of America, was Chairman of the Order Fulfillment Council of America and helped create the Carousel and VLM Product Section Group. He has spearheaded the efforts to create the first industry safety standards for horizontal carousels.
